Hi, Macie!
Thank you for writing. I think people who act cruelly may not always understand how much damage they can cause. Let's hope that this tragedy will be a wake-up call to those who mistreat others so they will understand that it's not just a game.

laura rhodes was one of my best friends.i saw how she suffered at the hands of the bullies and what it did to her.believe me it was bullying that killed her not her overdose!
she was a wonderful caring person and life is alot darker without her light shining in it.

We are Laura's parents, and would like to thank everyone who has posted messages about her. Nitemare was right about the world being a darker place without her light. She was the light of our lives. We appreciate that all of you have taken the time to speak about our beautiful girl.

Wow, what a wonderful site! I was thinking that I was the only pro-life, pro-peace African Americans around. I will definitely come back to this site.

I talked to Laura and Becki online a lot.
If you haven't seen them, Laura sent me some poems that she wrote that you might like to see.
She was talented.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I would just like to say how disgusted i am to hear the full extent of bullying laura recieved at the hands of her classmates and i am ashamed to say her teachers! At least this beautifull talented young girl will now be able to rest peacefully and flourish x night night Laurax

i just cant beleive u as her parents have had to go through what u are going through no 1 deserves a daughter taken away from them because of selfish bullies ... they shud all be locked up with the key thrown away im sure laura is a lovley girl with a lovley personality ... i was bullied for many years and i never understood why but no 1 shud be bullied to the point they want to die it is just so wrong and very very heartless im sure the kids that had the guts to bully laura will pay in justice ... i hope they will all be thinking about what they have done and sort there heads out they owe an apology to all those close to laura and if its not made then they are heartless people i certainly hope they dont grow up to brag that they made a young girl feel soo bad ! my deepest sympathys ! xx

I think that the story is absolutley heartbreaking, and i can't believe that she didn't tell anyone about it. Does anyone know any sites where i can read some of the poems she wrote?

I was googling my name and came across Laura's story. I am so sorry for your loss. I was bullied in school as a child as well and I often thought of suicide. I know your beautiful daughter is in heaven watching over you and she wouldn't want you to be sad. I will add you all to my prayers each night. I have been thinking of writing a series of children's books and now Laura is my inspiration. God Bless you all.
