KID STUFF 3-18-05

I resisted the impulse to call this "Friday Brat Blogging."  To make sure I don't spend too much time complaining about everything that's wrong with society, I want to blog at least once a week about my wonderful kids.

MinijosI'm sure nobody would recognize JG from this photo back when he was two months old (refer here to see why I don't put my family's faces on my blog).  This was taken in the summer of 1999.  The photographer managed to get great poses out of him even though he was suffering from terrible colic at the time.

These days, JG has been spending a lot of time studying animals -- their habitats and habits, relative speed and strength.  We had a great time at the zoo last week.  While BT was recognizing zebras, monkeys, and tigers, JG and I discussed what continents the animals lived on, how they fit into their environments, and which ones were herbivores or carnivores.  He also got reading practice as we read the signs.

My days are filled with so much joy, I almost feel guilty sometimes.  Other people might look at our surroundings and feel sorry for us, but I wouldn't trade our life for all the money in the world.
