I don't usually do memes, but I liked this one (I picked it up from Emily at Strangechord):
TEN THINGS I'VE DONE THAT I THINK MY READERS HAVEN'T:
- Delivered a baby. (Actually, I've delivered about 75 of them)
- Played the organ in a church service while breastfeeding.
- Tutored students in math while breastfeeding.
- Done a Pap smear while wearing a baby in a sling.
- Directed a choir while wearing a baby in a sling. (are you noticing a pattern here?)
- Made a meal of weeds from my backyard.
- Been pulled out of bed and put in a car to go to Mexico with people I had not previously met (no, it was not an abduction).
- Walked down the aisle at my wedding to the strains of music that I wrote myself.
- Been recognized in the newspaper as the youngest person ever to graduate from a particular college (California State University at Dominguez Hills, 1983. I was 18, but I think since then someone younger than that has graduated from Dominguez Hills).
- Talked to Jackson Browne on the telephone (I was working a pledge drive for a public radio station).
OK, knock down my list! Leave a comment if you've done any of those.
I've done a lot of public breastfeeding, but I can't knock down one thing! I've also done the sling thing...I just think my life is not quite as exciting...let's see, cooking with baby in sling, cleaning house with baby in sling...you get the picture! Cool meme. Makes me think.

I delivered a baby -- our daughter -- on the bathroom floor. Actually, my wife did the delivering, I the receiving. We never made it to the car. You can hear it here.
You can bet that's no. 1 on my list...

Beautiful story! Congratulations to your family. And your 911 guy is worth his weight in gold.

I ran some of these by my wife (who's in bed, nursing our toddler daughter) and she said she can knock down #4--twice.
I came to your blog, btw, after searching for progressive prolifers. I post often on DailyKos, and it's just so discouraging sometimes. Do you have a link to a solid source I can present to counter what I suspect is misinformation about Terri Schiavo's "brain dead" status?
Thanks,
Alan

Hi, Alan! Nice to meet you!
Is your wife a midwife/nurse practitioner/doctor? Or does she mean that she has received a Pap smear while wearing a baby? Anyway, attachment parenting is the greatest!
I haven't done nearly as much research into the Schiavo case as some other people have. If you go to ProLifeBlogs, there are tons of people there blogging about Terri. You'll probably be able to get plenty of information.
