My wedding. The reason I look a little off balance is because the kiss he gave me was much more enthusiastic than the one we had practiced. In the background is my father, who performed the ceremony.
My husband is not a computer type and doesn't read my blog, but I'll take this opportunity anyway to wish him a happy anniversary and tell him that I love him dearly. Some women are attracted to the mysterious, dangerous type. Not me. The thing I treasure most about my man is that I feel completely secure with him. One of the things we promised each other when we were dating was that we would give each other a nice "boring" relationship (meaning that there would be none of the twists and turns that make soap operas so compelling). His first marriage had enough drama to put anybody off of soap operas for good. For us, not having drama in our relationship gives our family a firm foundation on which we can build everything else.
Most years we go out for dinner and a movie on our anniversary, but this year we were both struck with the idea that it would be really great to send the kids to a friend's house and spend a quiet evening at home. Instead of waiting for a table at some trendy restaurant, we'll be cuddling in front of the fireplace.
Happy anniversary! Wishing you guys the very best.
I too, have found a relationship without drama. It's nice, isn't it?
